This article describes the implementation and evaluation of a writing center that assigned tutors to work with students in specific first-year composition (FYC) courses both in and out of the classroom. Student, tutor, and faculty satisfaction, as well as student learning, were evaluated. Findings indicate that a majority of those involved had a favorable view of the program, students were able to articulate how the program helped them achieve learning outcomes, and faculty and tutors enjoyed greater communicatio
