This paper presents comprehensive book reviews related to online teaching and learning. The criteria used for inclusion are usefulness to the profession and readability. The five reviewers, selected by the course professor, each prepared eight reviews selected from the course bibliography and other current sources. Twenty-two reviews are presented for reader edification. A reference list has been omitted since full reference is printed at the top of each review. However, a comprehensive bibliography is provided. It was updated in June 2003 in preparation for this article. All books reviewed are listed in the bibliography
