The dragon Hedammu - CTH 348

Notes on the myth of Hedammu depicted as dragon, a Hurrian sea-monster and son of Kumarbi who was born of Kumarbi's union with the daughter of a sea-god and emerged from the sea to devour animals and humans based on the concordances cited in the CTH 348. Emmanuel Laroche translated this text as "Le dragon Hedammu," and classified the concordance in the category of mythology of foreign origin in mythological texts (Catalogue des textes Hittites, No. 348).Paper (13 sheets
