[Extract] The Great Barrier Reef strategic assessment has two key components – a marine component led by the Marine Park Authority and a coastal component led by the Queensland Government. A 13-week long joint public consultation process was undertaken to facilitate comments on draft strategic assessment reports in order to inform and support the finalisation of the strategic assessment.
