Inner courtyard of the 13th-century Seljuk caravanserai, Sultan Han, Aksaray, located in the town of Sultanhanı, Aksaray, Turkey. One of the hallmarks of Anatolian Seljuk architecture, it was built during the reign of the Seljuk sultan Kayqubad I by the Syrian architect Muhammad ibn Khalwan al-Dimashqi in 1229. This masjid was set on arches above a fountain, with the prayer hall on the second floor, reached by a double stairway.
