The main goal of the project is to enhance the context-awareness of cellular handsets by exploiting commonly available technologies/capabilities present on the devices. For instance, most cellular handsets today come with a variety of sensors and capabilities including location sensors, accelerometers, light sensors, cameras and high-fidelity speakers and microphones. By fusing information gathered from multiple sensors, cellular handsets can tailor their services based on the user's context. Location is a major component of user's context.
