: Client, Employer and Worker : cartography of a complex triangulation

Many studies in the fields of Law, Sociology and Management evoke a questioning of the bond of subordination between employer and workers. This transformation of subordination is often explained by the triangulation of the traditionally bilateral labour relation between employer and workers, due in large part to the intrusion of the client or their representatives in the organizational conditions of work, without necessarily distinguishing between the various types of clients, nor between the reality and the rhetoric of the role and the weight of the client. The objective of this article is to propose a classification of the triangular situations between employer, workers and client based on power concept and to analyse the impacts of client on work conditions and employment relations.De nombreuses études dans les champs du droit, de la sociologie et du management traitent des transformations du lien de subordination entre employeur et salariés. Ces transformations sont souvent expliquées par la triangulation des relations de travail traditionnellement bilatérales entre l'employeur et le salarié, du fait notamment de l'intrusion du client ou de ses représentants dans les conditions réelles de travail. Toutefois, ces réflexions ne distinguent pas toujours les différentes catégories de clients ni les écarts qui peuvent exister entre la réalité de l'influence du client et le discours qui en est fait. L'objectif de cet article est de proposer une cartographie des situations de triangulation entre employeur, salariés et client basée sur le concept de pouvoir et d'analyser les impacts du client sur les relations de travail et d'emploi
