Farmers in North Dakota have depended upon the sale of crops for 50% to 67% of their agricultural income. Fluctuations in prices and weather changes have affect crop yields. Those crops that have grossed the most return have continued to be chosen as good alternatives to traditional crops. The continued value of wheat to the North Dakota agricultural financial landscape is discussed.
