Advanced technology, lack of clinical placement opportunities for students, and need for patient safety have increased usage of computerized patient simulators in schools of nursing. The purpose of this study is to replicate Fiengold, Calaluce, and Kallen’s 2004 research to evaluate student and faculty perception of simulated clinical scenarios when using computerized patient simulators. Specific areas evaluated are related to reality of simulation, transferability of learning in simulation to actual clinical settings, and the value of clinical simulations.
