This paper looks at the characteristics of East Central Indiana to see if the communities would warrant the implementation of a commuter rail in the area connecting these communities to Indianapolis. This is done by comparing East Central Indiana to two other communities with commuter rails to see how they are similar to and to make suggestions for a proposed commuter rail in the East Central Indiana area. The two commuter rails that are discussed are Tennessee’s Music City Star and New Mexico’s Rail Runner Express
