Medicaid, Medicare, Welfare, Social Medicine. We've heard the words, but do we know what they mean? As a creative thesis, I will teach a course that will take a look at these healthcare initiatives and the laws and ethics involved. In addition, a study of the relationship between poverty and healthcare in the United States and abroad will be considered and discussed. The imminent issues of modern healthcare will be addressed in a manner that college students interested in the improvement of our healthcare systems can understand and in a manner that will motivate students to delve more deeply into the world of medicine that stands behind the physicians and nurses.
