The permanency planning movement : honors thesis (HONRS 499)

This paper will provide a definition of permanency planning and its emergence as a national movement. The impact of federal legislation on the movement will be examined, as well as the problems which the movement is facing nationally and in the state of Indiana. The paper will conclude with a look at a prevention program that has gained attention throughout the United States for its success in showing how the ultimate goal of permanency planning, maintaining children in their homes, can be achieved through early identification of stressed families and home-based support provided to such families for up to five years.Honors CollegeThesis (B.?.
