Under the discretion of Dr. Joseph Trimmer, of Ball State University's English department, I developed an honor's thesis combining both my major in English and minor in art. First, I wrote a research paper on the life and works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, a late nineteenth century French painter. In particular, I studied his painting, "At the Moulin Rouge," and conducted further research of the characters within this painting. From here, using factual evidence from Toulouse-Lautrec's life, I wrote a short story based on these characters. Finally, I painted a scene from my own short story using elements of Toulouse-Lautrec's painting style.Honors CollegeThesis (B.?
