Jewish heritage week 2007 : multiculturalism within Judaism : an honors thesis project [(HONRS 499)]

To complete my Honors thesis requirement, I chose to implement a project that would help educate the students on campus about Jewish and Israeli cultures. From March 26 to 30, the Ball State Hillel, the Jewish student group on campus, hosted eight events for the third annual Jewish Heritage Week. Almost 500 people attended events, and Hillel made $350 in profit from the week, providing funds for next year's group. The group spent a total of $3,429 for the week's events and supplies. We were reimbursed $2,413 through grants, co-sponsorships and early donations. The group spent $1,000 of its own money, but made $1,350. Through this project, I have shown that even small groups can plan, organize and implement large events that affect hundreds of people, while simultaneously demonstrating the importance such a small group has on the overall multicultural environment.Honors CollegeThesis (B.?.
