The overall aim of this study was to investigate options to breed sheep for milk production and to find out the optimal proportion of Awassi in Local sheep breeds for milk production through the prevailing Community-Based Breeding Programs (CBBP) at Central Highlands of Ethiopia. The data was collected from Local (Menz, Wollo), Awassi-Local (AL) crossbred and pure Awassi ewes kept under farmers (FE) and breeding station (BE) environments, two production systems, in the 2015 to 2017 production years.
