The explosion of the Information Age has brought with it unforeseen challenges to society. One such challenge is the establishment of what should and should not remain private and how to enforce these rights. This paper examines privacy issues in relation to the Internet in three specific areas: anonymous remailers, "cookies," and encryption software.
