To follow the Christ : an exposition of Bonhoeffer and discipleship : [an honors thesis (HONRS 499)]

My purpose in writing this thesis is to expand upon the work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer known in English as The Cost of Discipleship. Since much of this paper will be exegesis of Bonhoeffer's masterpiece, the approach differs from the majority of honors theses that are traditionally more formal. My style is personal, in order that others-not merely honors students-may benefit from the reading and also that the more obscure portions of The Cost of Discipleship may be made clear to the layman. Many of the interpretations are my own opinion, reached through a relatively short experience following the Christ.
