The inspiration for this creative scrapbooking project was gleaned from the immersive experiences that I had while living at two separate Deaf schools. One of these schools was the Indiana School for the Deaf, where I had the opportunity to live, teach, volunteer, and take classes for both semesters of my sophomore year. The other Deaf community, in which I lived the summer after my junior year, was the Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Both of these immersive experiences have influenced my personal and global perspectives and have deepened my heart for the Deaf community and its members.
