Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) Advertising, the advertising of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, has been controversial since its debut. Those who support it say that consumers have a right and even a need to know. Those opposing believe DTC ads are a way for pharmaceutical companies to make more money.
