As the teacher and student population is changing, multicultural education is becoming an important part of education. One minority group that students need to be exposed to is the Native American culture because studies show that elementary students hold many misconceptions about the Native culture. One way to incorporate multicultural education into the curriculum is through the use of multicultural literature. There are many aspects to consider when choosing multicultural literature, which will be discussed.
