Brookside Park extension : reclaiming a park's history and future through art : an environmental artpark in Northeast Indianapolis, Indiana

A growing body of research suggests that many urban parks lack the qualities that draw people to them, becoming stagnate. It is believed that not all park environments ignite the imagination of the growing mind or provide experiences with the natural environment. Additionally, open space within the urban environment are slowly being wiped out. Society is realizing the importance these spaces provide not only as natural environments but as learning environments.This comprehensive project examined the topics of urban park design, environmental art and learning, and historic preservation to develop master plan for an addition to Brookside Park in Indianapolis, Indiana.
