This research was done in an effort to learn about the cultural adjustment issues faced by Chinese international students studying at colleges and universities in the United States. A qualitative methodology was used to learn about these issues. The review of related literature discussed the importance of the role of international students in American higher education and focused on issues of acculturation that have been faced by Chinese international students. The findings are presented with a focus on the four research questions, and the prominent themes that emerged from the participants' data.
