The purpose of this research project was to investigate the significance of differences between high and low performing women in professional golf in factors of self concept and selected personality dimensions. This study was exploratory in nature and had as its major objective the determination if the kind and extent of differences in psychological areas that clinical subjective judgment suggested might be related to winning or losing in professional competition. Dependent upon the primary findings, a secondary objective was to suggest what contemporary therapeutic measures might be appropriate and facilitative to individuals interested in self concept and/or personality modifications that might be compatible with high performance in golf....
