The years since 1960 have seen the rise of a number of religious, political, social and cultural movements within the United States. A number of well-known examples come to mind: the Black Power movement, the American Indian movement, the Women's Liberation movement, the Environmentalist movement, and the Witchcraft or Wicca movement.
