A history of women's basketball at Manchester College

The purpose of this study was to document the facts and events leading up to the present status of women's basketball at Manchester College. Minutes from athletic committee meetings, women's basketball programs, game schedules and records, newspaper articles, school yearbooks, historical research books, files on women's basketball and interviews were primary sources. The study revealed that women have been playing basketball at Manchester College for many years, but it was not until 1977 that it became an intercollegiate varsity sport.
