Trabalho Final do Mestrado Integrado em Medicina apresentado à Faculdade de MedicinaContextualização: Os tumores da série glial representam 80% de todos os tumores cerebrais malignos primários. Têm um mau prognóstico e são causa de importante morbilidade e mortalidade. Nas últimas décadas, o tratamento cirúrgico desses tumores, quando viável, tem recorrido a fluorescência 5-ALA como guia na cirurgia de resseção dos gliomas. Esta técnica permite o delineamento intraoperatório das margens tumorais, o que maximiza a extensão da resseção.
