Within the Lent, Brown and Hackett\u27s (1994) social cognitive career theory framework, the moderating effects of identity achievement and moratorium on the relations of self-efficacy and outcome expectation to goal development were investigated. Statistically significant positive correlations were discovered among the self-efficacy, outcome expectation, identity achievement, and moratorium and goal formation variables. Identity achievement was not found to moderate the relations of self-efficacy and outcome expectation to goal development. However, regression analyses revealed that moratorium does moderate the relation of self-efficacy and outcome expectation to goal development
