This study consists of four parts: (1) design considerations; (2) analysis method of load effects; (3) general design guidelines; and (4) safety analysis and inspection during construction. In part 1, the research significance and literature review in the field of safe construction of concrete buildings are introduced. The design policy and method for safe construction are then explained. The models for specified construction dead and live loads are established briefly. The resistance capacity for shear and flexural failures of concrete slabs at early age and in different temperatures is evaluated.
