Effects of exercise on serum lipids and lipoproteins, and other risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD) were assessed in minimally active young women. Apolipoprotein A-I (apo A-I) and lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activity were evaluated for their potential mechanistic roles.
