Diet has a significant impact on our general health and our oral health. WHO ranks dental caries as the third scourge in the world. This multifactorial pathology can involve, among other things, an unbalanced diet rich in fermentable sugars and ineffective plaque control. Apart from prophylaxis techniques involving topical fluoridation and sealing of furrows, primary, secondary and tertiary prevention policies and actions are implemented, targeting both its various determinants and populations at risk.
