The present work is devoted to the analysis and modeling of turbulence in flows of dense gases (DG). The interest for these gases mainly comes from the Organic Rankine Cycles (ORC) turbine industry. ORCs rely on the so-called and widely used William Rankine's cycle. The organic working fluid (instead of water) is expanded after being evaporated so as to produce mechanical energy and then electricity. Among organic fluids, DG have been widely used in the ORC industry over the past 40 years. Indeed, their use enables a great adaptability for ORCs.
