The article represents the abstract from the research in the study of socialization in contemporary Anglo-American anthropology. It is concerned with three predominant 'models' (in terms of 'ways') of explanation of the topic in the American and British anthropology from 1960s up to date. After having analyzed the models: instrumental-transmission' (functional); 2. 'interactive- communicational' (interpretative), and 3. 'cultural-ecological' (neoevolutional) model, the author makes their evaluation referring to the anthropological tradition and to their ability to provide so called integral approach to the study of socialization.
