Abstract: Background: Botswana, like many other countries remains at a challenging situation in terms of the fight against TB. Numerous studies have determined risk factors associated with TB, but the risk factors to acquiring TB localised to Botswana setting have not been explored. Objective: The aim of the study was to examine risk factors associated with acquiring TB in the 5 Northern districts of Botswana for the period of 2018-2019. Methods: This was a case-control study with sample size of 460 with 224 cases and 236 controls. The study was conducted in Botswana’s 5 northern districts.
