This practical paper aims to give conductors some specific and immediately applicable techniques to increase tone quality in a choir. Specific focus is placed on a kinesthetic approach to sound building and how it can be applied to the rehearsal process to enhance choral technique. A traditional approach to conducting is melded with the kinesthetic strategies explained in the paper.
