Fundamentally different from Freudian ideas of Self which predicate much of global -- and mostly Western -- analysis of societal concerns and issues, there is a profoundly influential Asian alternative to the view of the Self. These ancient Sanskrit tests have also deeply influenced early Buddhist philosophy. Dr. Ray\u27s presentation explores these concepts from the Taittiriya Upanishad and their influence on ideas of social connectivity and action in the context of a great part of South Asia
