A PERCEPÇÃO DO ENFERMEIRO NO LIDAR COM A MORTE DURANTE A ASSISTÊNCIA

The theme of this article is the perception of nurses in dealing with death during care. The following problem was investigated: how is the nurse's confrontation and what are the feelings expressed by professionals regarding death? The following hypothesis was considered: “nurses do not know how to deal with the imminence of death”. The overall objective is to identify nurses' perceptions in dealing with death during care. The specific objectives are: to identify the feelings experienced and the difficulties faced by nurses who work and live with death. This work is important from an individual perspective because of the need to deepen the knowledge about the care provided by nurses to patients in the process of dying and dying; for science, it is relevant for nurses to recognize their limits and thus seek both professional and ethical preparation to work with death; It adds to society that they can thus promote better care for the population in need of their care. This is a theoretical qualitative research lasting three months.O tema deste artigo é a percepção do enfermeiro no lidar com a morte durante a assistência. Investigou-se o seguinte problema: como é o enfrentamento do enfermeiro e quais os sentimentos expressos pelos profissionais perante a morte? Cogitou-se a seguinte hipótese “os enfermeiros não sabem como lidar diante da iminência da morte”. O Objetivo Geral é identificar a percepção do enfermeiro ao lidar com a morte durante a assistência. Os Objetivos Específicos são: identificar os sentimentos vivenciados e as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos enfermeiros que trabalham e convivem com a morte. Este trabalho é importante em uma perspectiva individual devido a necessidade de aprofundar o conhecimento acerca da assistência prestada pelo enfermeiro ao paciente em processo de morte e morrer; para a ciência, é relevante para que o enfermeiro reconheça seus limites e assim busquem preparo tanto profissional quanto ético para trabalharem com a morte; agrega à sociedade pelo fato de que assim possam promover uma melhor assistência para a população que necessite de seus cuidados.
