Contribution à la modélisation d'un arc électrique dans les appareils de coupure basse tension

This work is a contribution to the modelling of an electrical arc in the low voltagebreaking devices: circuit breaker, contactor, switch and switch-disconnector. The 2Dmodelling of free burning argon made it possible to validate the numerical code and to studythe influence of the geometrical, physical and numerical parameters on the physical variablesof thermal plasma. According to this study, a 3D modelling in a stationary flow of anelectrical arc in the air with an intensity of 50 A is realized for each breaking devices. Theangle of the aperture of the contacts and the presence of the current feeds are considered. Twoparticular shapes are analyzed: a shape in "U" in the case of the circuit breaker and a shape in"5"' in the case of the contactor, the switch and the switch-disconnector. The results show theinfluence of an external magnetic field on the curve, the shape of the electric arc.A partir d'une demarche progressive, ce travail est une contribution a la modelisationdes arcs electriques dans les appareils de coupure basse tension : Ie disjoncteur. Ie contacteur,1'interrupteur et Ie sectionneur. La modelisation 2D d'un arc libre dans 1'argon a permis devalider Ie code de calcul et d'etudier 1'influence des parametres geometriques, physiques etnumeriques sur les grandeurs caracteristiques du plasma thermique. A partir de cette etude,une modelisation 3D en regime stationnaire d'un arc de electrique dans Pair a 50 A estrealisee pour chaque dispositif de coupure. L'angle d'ouverture des contacts ainsi que lapresence des amenees de courant sont pris en consideration. Deux fbrmes particulieres sontanalysees : une forme en « U » dans Ie cas du disjoncteur et une forme en « S » dans Ie cas ducontacteur, de 1'interrupteur et du sectionneur.
