Seawater and sediment samples were collected from five locations (Burum, Al-Mukalla, Al-Shaher, Ras-Sharma and Arryidah) in coastal of Hadraomut, Yemen on seasonally basis from August 2013- May 2014 for an investigation of concentrations of heavy metals [nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn),cadmium (Cd), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), chromium (Cr) and lead (Pb)]. The higher concentration of Ni, Co, Mn, Cd, Fe, Cu, Zn and Pb in seawater and sediments were observed in Al-Mukalla site, which was considered a contaminated area.
