La escritura cinematográfica: el perfil desconocido de Concha Méndez

Born in the exceptional conjunction of modern lifestyle of Madrid at the beginning of the 20th century, Concha Méndez, a poet, editor and playwright from the Silver Age of Spanish culture, also has the merit for having been a pioneer in her participation in the seventh art. In recent decades, her poetic and theatrical career has emerged from the shadows of anonymity, but her facet as a writer of cinematographic scripts, despite constituting an essential component in her development as a woman artist of her time, still presents multiple gaps. This article reconstructs her cinematographic adventure and reveals all her works for the big screen.Nacida en la excepcional coyuntura de la modernidad madrileña de principios del siglo XX, Concha Méndez, poeta, editora y dramaturga de la Edad de Plata de la cultura española, también tiene el mérito de haber sido pionera en su participación en el séptimo arte. En las últimas décadas, su trayectoria poética y teatral ha ido saliendo de las sombras del anonimato, pero su faceta como escritora de argumentos cinematográficos, a pesar de constituir un componente esencial en su desarrollo como mujer artista de la época, todavía presenta múltiples lagunas.
