Two types of models applicable to the overall analysis of steel concrete composite beams are presented and analyzed in the thesis. The analytical model based on elastic theory of beams, allows the calculation of the shift and its influence on the arrows of simple and continuous composite beams. The nonlinear behavior of the composite beam is studied using a finite element modeling. A formulation by shell elements is used to represent the slab and the metal beam. The Connextion is made by short beam elements. The three-dimensional finite element model is validated by comparing with experimental results from different sources. It proves to be effective to represent the influence of creep and concrete cracking on the stiffness of the composi...
