This study tested the effectiveness of an evidence-based intervention for reducing women\u27s exposure to intimate partner violence (IPV). One-hundred and twenty women who had experienced IPV in the last 2 years were assigned to a treatment or comparison group condition using a sequential assignment paradigm. Treatment group participants completed a 10-session evidence-based intervention, the Mom\u27s Empowerment Program, designed to treat common mental health issues after exposure to IPV and assist women with access to resources.
