In a symposium organized jointly by Koç University and the Turkish Philosophy Association Prof. Inal presented the following paper underlining that Surrealism needs to be viewed as a transcendental mode of thought and creation. Prof. Inal who accentuates that this is a cognitive and artistic freedom issue, exemplifies this through the works of Breton, Elouard, Tanguy, Ernst and Dali, illustrating how Surrealism frees the individual from all the enslaved acts of creation and the confines of logic in the literature, art and plastic arts. For those Surrealists who sense the magnificence of the subconscious in the cracks of the objective all of the universe is a kaleidoscope to be reflected and created with new forms and image
