Objective: This study aimed to determine the association between the baseline serum uric acid (SUA) level and the short-term outcomes of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods: In this retrospective, bi-institutional study, patients with a diagnosis of ACS were recruited and followed-up for 30 days regarding the development of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs). The associations between the SUA level upon admission and cardiovascular morbidities and patient prognosis were examined using univariate and multivariate analyses.
