Dr. Josephine Nabugoomu is the course co-coordinator and a lecturer for GHS 9030 – Field School in Africa. She holds an MSc in Human Nutrition and a PhD in Public Health and Health Systems. Having taught high school students, and now graduate students, she has in combination over 15 years of teaching experience. She is passionate about improving the wellbeing of children and teenagers. Dr. Nabugoomu is the co-founder and current Executive Director and Board Secretary of TEENEDGE (teenedgeug.com), a not-for-profit organization promoting teen empowerment by conducting research, encouraging behavioural change, and teaching entrepreneurial and health-related skills to Ugandan teenagers
