Guyana. Significant achievements 2013

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Guyana during 2013 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as financing, training, leadership, exports, marketing, imports, packaging, labeling, beekeeping, waste management and use of fertilizers. Finally, technical assistance was provided for the use of shade houses, the use of biogas, in genetic improvement, pest control and in the value chains of corn, beans and coconut.Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Guyana durante el 2013, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como financiamiento, capacitaciones, liderazgo, exportaciones, comercialización, importación, empaquetado, etiquetado, apicultura, manejo de desechos y uso de fertilizantes. Finalmente, se brindo asistencia técnica para el empleo de casas sombra, el uso de biogás, en la mejora genética, control de plagas y en las cadenas de valor del maíz, frijoles y coco
