Le malaise au travail : à la recherche du sens perdu

After overviewing the historical background of the relations between capital and labour, from the times of the Revolution up to the present day, I envision a clinical consideration of the subject in a labour related context. In light of the work of Freud and Lacan, labour is then regarded as one of the modalities of social link which is responsive to the discourses and ideologies of an era; and suffering is renamed discontents of the subject dealing with the current link – capitalist. Along with Weber and Bentham, the meaning of the use of the term “capitalism” gets specific. Following the profound mutations that have affected the world of work, the focus is put on the deployment of management. I present a psychoanalytic clinical approach of the historically investigated causes, as well as the subjective and societal consequences of ongoing alterations.Après une mise en perspective historique des rapports entre capital et travail, depuis la Révolution jusqu’à nos jours, je propose d’envisager une clinique du sujet dans le contexte du travail. À partir des travaux de Freud et de Lacan, le travail est alors considéré comme l’une des modalités du lien social sensible aux discours et aux idéologies de l’époque et la souffrance est renommée malaise du sujet aux prises avec le lien qui a cours – Capitaliste. Avec Weber et Bentham, le sens de l’emploi du terme « capitalisme » est précisé. Le monde du travail ayant subi de profondes mutations, une focale sur le déploiement du management s’opère.
