The phytohormones gibberellins (GAs) regulate major aspects of plant growth and development in response to endogenous and exogenous signals. GAs promote growth by stimulating the degradation of nuclear growth repressing DELLA proteins. Nitrogen (N), a macronutrient essential for plant development, is one of the most limiting factors for agricultural productivity.
