In the family of copper alloys, Cu - Be has long been the material with the highest compromise in electrical conductivity / mechanical strength performance. However, due to its toxicity, the use of beryllium has become restrictive. Replacement solutions now relate to other grades, such as Cu - Ti, Cu - Ni - Si or even Cu - Ni - Sn. However, these have not yet fully demonstrated their equivalence.
