Our work focuses on the professional development of mechanical engineering teachers in Senegal. This study is analysed from the dual perspective of the teachers' professional identity and their activity in a teaching/learning situation. Our theoretical framework articulates professional identity and professional didactics. First, our framework of analysis is the statistical characterization of teachers' identity profiles based on the indicators collected in the literature review.
