In France, thermal regulations for buildings are changing to face the climatic challenges. The “Grenelle 2” law and the “Plan de Rénovation Energétique de l'Habitat” strategy establish requirements that motivate the search for innovative solutions for the insulation of buildings with high thermal losses. This is the case of national heritage, whose bio-energy retrofit is at the heart of this thesis project.
